Find the needle in a haystack

Everybody knows the saying. HALM turns it into a game: a giant haystack with 20 million straws and 5 hidden needles. How fast can you find them all?

How to play

• Dig. Grab straw by straw with your bare hands and carry it to the hopper. Every straw sells.
• Upgrade. Bigger grip, apron, basket, backpack, then a pitchfork, a shovel, a hay vacuum and a front loader.
• Build your farm. Farm hands, drones, conveyor belts, balers, generators and solar panels do the work for you.
• Search. A metal detector, a direction finder, a depth gauge and X-ray glasses help you track down every needle.

HALM runs right in Safari, Chrome or Firefox on any Mac with macOS. No App Store, no download, no install. Just open the page and start digging. The same goes for Windows, Linux, iPhone, iPad and Android.

Is it free?

Yes. The demo is free and gives you 20 minutes of the full game. If you like it, the full version is a one-time 2.90 USD with no subscription and no ads. Your demo farm carries over.

Controls

Computer: WASD to walk, left mouse button to dig and pick up, right mouse button to drop hay, E for the workshop. Phone: left thumb to walk, buttons to dig and drop. The game is in German, the controls are easy to pick up.
